Mrs. Katharine Dunn and son Reo of Richland, Wn., spent their spring vacation at the home of Mrs. Dunn's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Ray Brown, returning to her school Sunday. Week end guests also at the Browns were their other daughter and family, Mr. and Mrs. Eldon Wilson and daughter of Baker. Boardman losing in a very close and interesting game, score iu-. Mr. and Mrs. Frank Marlow motored to Pendleton Thursday. Boardman district completed the Red Cross drive, turning in only $74.00. Dinner guest at the N. A. Ma comber home Thursday evening was Ray Macomber of Portland. The two men are cousins. Mr. and Mrs. Jack Taylor moved last week to the west of the project, on the farm recently vacated Dy Mr., and Mrs Has mussen. The Rasmussens are now living on the Delbert Car penter farm. Friends were saddened to learn of the passing away Saturday in Portland of Mrs. Russell Myl lymaki, (Norene Olson,). Mrs. Myllymakl had only been ill a few hours. She spent most of her life in Boardman moving with her husband two years ago to Portland. Mr. and Mrs. W. E. Garner spent the week end in Salem and Roseburg with friends, Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Looker. Mark Delano reentered the St Anthonys hospital Wednesday. Mr. Delano has been in ill health for many months. Mr. Frank Ackerman, who is ill, was taken to the hospital Friday. Easter Sunday found many families enjoying dinner to gether. Mr. and Mrs. Jack Campbell and children of Pullman, Wn., were week end guests at the home of Mrs. Campbell's step father and mother Mr. and Mrs. Earl Briggs. On Sunday the Brigg's and Campbells, with Mr. and Mrs. Walter Wyss. Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Nickerson, Mr. and Mrs. Chas. Anderegg and daughter Barbara, were dinner guests at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Jack M'llliean. Mesdames Earl Briggs, Jack Mulligan, Ed Kunze, and Algy Taylor motored to McNary Thurs day evening where they attend ed the regular VFW meeting. Joint installation of McNary Post 7042 and the auxiliary Is sche duled for Friday evening April 14. Mrs. Earl Briggs will be the Installing officer, with a team of eight ladies from Milwaukie, Oregon, putting on the floor work. This installation is public. This being also Mrs. Petteys' birthday she had a lovely birthday cake made by her mother. Mr. and Mrs. Frank Marlow and sons motored to Pendleton Saturday where they attended the funeral of Mrs. Harlow's uncle, J. F. Hartle. Thirty-five guests were present. The McLachlan's daughter, Leila, who is attendine school in Spo- kane, was home for the occasion and to spend a brief Easter va cation.
